Var på m/s Thermopylæ som ble senket 19. januar 1942, men han ble reddet. Var senere på m/s Høegh Silverdawn, og omkom da skipet ble senket 15. juni 1943 av en tysk hjelpekrysser (Michel) øst for Fremantle, W. A.
