Gift 1921 i Oslo med Ragnhild Lagertha Olsen, f. 1899 på Tjøme. 3 barn. Handelsskole. Omkom 24. juni 1941 da m/s Vigrid ble torpedert i Atlanterhavet, på reise fra New Orleans til Manchester og Belfast.
