Registernummer under krigen: London 10932, NY 26196.
M/T Teddy ble kapret og senket av tysk kaprer Atlantis. Mannskapet på 32 bestod av 22 nordmenn, 6 svensker og 4 australiere. Nordmennene og svenskene ble overført til M/T Ole Jacob, som også var kapret av Atlantis. Dette skipet ble sendt til Kobe i Japan og ankom der 4.12.1940. Nordmennene ble tilbudt reise hjem, men avslo. Olav Berntsen var antagelig blant 19 nordmenn som ble sendt til Hong Kong. Se sjøforklaringene.
