Skytter nr. 1203: Lunde, Robert Viktor. Født 10.1.1924 i Skoger.
Var den 9.april 1940 ombord på M/S HIRD som bl.a. var med på evakueringen av Dunkirk og hadde 2200 franske og bristiske soldater og siville ombord da det satte kurs for Dover/Cardiff. ( Skipet seilte fra Greenock den 4.mai 1940 og ankom Dunkirk 9.mai 1942 hvor hun seilte videre til Cardiff.)
Underveis overkanalen var HIRD med på to redningsaksjoner fra skip som var blitt torpedert. Den 15.september 1940 ble HIRD selv senket i Atlanteren. Alle reddet. Lund fortsatte å seile i handelsflåten frem til oktober 1942, da meldte han seg til marinen.
Antatt i marinen og ble utdannet til skytter i Camp Norway, Lunenburg, Canada.
Senere gjorde han tjeneste som skytter på følgende norske handelsskip:
M/S ANNA ODLAND fra 6.12.1942 til 16.7.1943.
M/S HEIMVARD fra 22.7.1943 til 23.2.1944.
M/S TAMERLANE fra 17.10.1944 til 2.10.1945.
