Om bord på D/S Patria, skipet ankom til Oran den 22.6.1940, og ble nektet utklarering av de franske myndigheter. Den 6.9.1941 ble skipet rekvirert av Vichy-regjeringen. Mannskapet ble avmønstret og internert i land. Frigitt den 12.11.1942, og reiste til England som passasjer. Ankom til England 3.12.1942. Fangenskapslønn fra 7.10.1941 til 17.12.1942.
