Var påmønstret D/S LIV da Norge ble invadert 9. april 1940. Skipet lå da i italiensk havn. Hun ble beslaglagt av italienske myndigheter i Trapani, Sardinia, 10. juni 1940. Besetningen internert, sendt hjem, og ankom Norge 19. oktober 1940.
Han rømte fra Norge ved det første Lofotraidet, og gikk inn i Den norske marinen.
